WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING



We are looking for an Associate Director - Communications to join our growing team and work across multiple high profile and fast paced accounts. You will be responsible for leading PR and communications as part of integrated campaigns for major brands and sports rights holders, working alongside a wider team.





Proven expertise across strategic communications and media relations is required, ideally with experience working across a range of different sports.





Based in London, the role will also be required to help nurture and develop junior members of the team, as well as supporting the senior leadership team with new business and wider growth.


Client / Account Management



Develop an excellent understanding of client strategy and brand objectives, market and key competitors Deliver robust communications campaigns incorporating strategy and amplification tactics Management of partnerships and relationships with key rights holders Management of event logistics, media and talent activity Oversee KPI setting and campaign evaluation with team Forward planning to anticipate challenges / issues and put in place proactive resolutions

Self / Team Management



Lead Internal and All Agency brainstorms and ideas development Development and oversight of project timelines, monthly budgets and client reporting Run regular project and status meetings with senior clients (and rights holders where relevant) Manage client teams, including budgets, project and campaign planning

Internal Communications



Build strong relationships and foster good team spirit internally and amongst client teams Draw upon experience from across Wasserman, where relevant, to optimise quality of work provided on the account

Financial Accountability



Identify incremental business opportunities Responsible for adding new incremental opportunities to Salesforce tracking tool Proactively seek ways to grow the account by becoming an ambassador of Wasserman services so they are front of mind when opportunities present themselves Oversight and renewal of annual scope of work

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED



Experience working on large consumer brands and rights holders is preferred, but not essential Strong client management skills - ability to manage clients and gain trust and respect of senior clients Take responsibility for delivering agreed level of activity and meeting deadlines Team management - ability to delegate and manage a team Ability to prioritise workload and respond to client briefs on time and within budget Presentation skills (both writing and delivery), internally and to clients / suppliers including use of Microsoft PowerPoint Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - and attention to detail Creative thinking Knowledge of, and passion for, both sport and music & entertainment is a bonus
