Job Description


We are seeking an Associate Director Content and Scholarship to join our team within the Directorate of Learning Resources at Oxford Brookes University. The Directorate is a highly regarded department encompassing the university library, special collections and archives, digital services, and design and media teams.

You will lead the development and delivery of library content, the digital library environment, and specialist research services. As a member of the senior leadership team you will take a leading role in the strategic planning and management of the directorate, work with colleagues across the university on key priorities, and deputise for the Director of Learning Resources.

You will have knowledge and experience of library content management, the scholarly publishing and research environment, an understanding of digital library developments, and the ability to translate strategy into outcomes. With experience of leading and developing teams you will have an inclusive leadership approach and the ability to motivate and support teams through change.

This is a newly revised role with a number of opportunities to lead innovative approaches to content, engage in digital transformation, and enhance our support for Open Scholarship. It is an exciting time to join the University and the Learning Resources Directorate as we develop a new strategic approach and we work towards the delivery of the University\'s Strategy for 2035 where you will make a valuable contribution to our continued success.
