We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Associate Director to assists the Relationship Directors (RDs) in building relationships by identifying and meeting existing and prospective customer needs.

A high-level overview: This role is responsible for identifying product and service opportunities, carrying out customer research, driving new to bank origination, financial and credit analysis and helping the RD prepare for customer meetings. Other fundamental parts of the role include co-ordination of complex credit applications or renewals and risk escalation management. In the absence of the RD, the role holder will act as the focal point for the relationship, products, and services. This is a progressive development role ideally suited to individuals wanting to secure RD roles in the future.

The role has a hybrid working pattern allowing for home based and office-based working at HSBC offices in Liverpool - Royal Liver Building, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1HU and Cheshire - Kings Meadow, Chester Business Park, Cheshire CH99 9FB.

In this Role you will:

  • Provide support to the Relationship Directors (RDs) to enable them to optimise the potential value of client relationships, improve client engagement and deliver needs-based solutions and fair outcomes for customers.
  • Enable proactive client management by attending client meetings with the RD as necessary and acting as the first point of contact for customers on daily credit-related enquiries.
  • Participate in deal discussions with clients alongside the RD to acquire an understanding of the relationship and facilitate the management of complex local/international credit cases.
  • Prepare appropriate analysis, proposals, and presentations to prospective customers.
  • Support the RM on day-to-day activities including client planning, activities to drive new to bank origination, pipeline management.
  • Support the RM in coordinating with product partners and ensuring data and call reports are accurately and timely updated.
  • Support team in delivering appropriate and fair outcomes for clients both existing and new, and delivery of strong customer satisfaction scores.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Previous or current CMB experience.
  • Able to work as part of a team very well.
  • Strong Relationship Director skills in a client facing environment.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and interpret comprehensive information and/or customer requirements in order to provide solutions that are commercially viable and sustainable.
  • Influencing skills and ability to builds positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues, and stakeholder.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage business tasks.
  • Good experience of running a complex portfolio of clients.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Anticipates and identifies risks and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate and manage them.
  • Planning and organizational skills in order to manage the unexpected as well as anticipated issues or events, so that success can still be achieved.
