About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, skilled and ambitious academic leader to join the Department of Allied Health Professions Education.
You will form a key member of the department's Senior Leadership Team, contributing collaboratively to the strategic and operational management of the department as a whole; consult and represent the views of staff; communicate departmental strategy and policy to relevant staff and ensure informed compliance. You will inspire best practice and be a key leader in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of fulltime and part-time undergraduate programmes for Paramedics and Operating Department Practitioners in addition to a successful CPD provision.
As an Associate Head, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Allied Health to ensure the high-quality delivery of our provision, focusing on providing an excellent student experience. By providing visionary leadership and with well-honed emotional intelligence, you will assist in the further development of a culture of high performance, providing effective management and direction to staff within the Department.
About You
The ideal candidate should be NMC/HCPC registered and have experience of leading an academic team/programme in a clinical education environment. You will provide strategic leadership in learning, teaching and assessment.

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Child & Adult disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
