Priory Hospital Ticehurst is looking to recruit an Associate Hospital Manager to join the team. This is asessionalrole.


Priory Ticehurst House is set in peaceful gardens in East Sussex, offering a therapeutic environment for recovery. We have several acute NHS wards for men and women. Our team works closely with discharge teams to support smooth transitions back to community services or home. We focus on treating people closer to home and helping repatriate patients to their local areas.

What you'll be doing





You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an Associate Hospital Manager you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.



You will also:Following an initial period of training be required to attend hearings as a panel member to review detention/ Community Treatment Orders. Having gained experience and attended an additional period of training, members will be invited to chair review panels ensuring that reviews are undertaken in accordance with the MHA 1983 (amended 2007) and Code of Practice. Will ensure that the grounds for continuing detention or community treatment are valid. Be required to formally record the evidence considered by the panel in reaching their decision, the reasons for the decision, and the decision itself. Communicate the reasons for the decision to the patient and other relevant parties involved in the review.

The ideal candidate can interpret and challenge complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing. Strong communication, confidentiality, computer skills, and knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 are essential. You should work well with others, show fairness, understanding of human rights, and a positive, sensitive approach to supporting people with mental health issues.
