This full-time role is available from October 2025 until 31 March 2026.
The role
The role of Associate Lecturer (Education and Scholarship) will include supporting the student learning experience using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching allocated, including taking seminar groups on both of our core level-one survey modules ('Understanding Medieval and Early Modern History' and 'Understanding Modern History').
About you
You will:

  • Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge, demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent qualification/experience, of the core knowledge relating to Early Modern and Modern British History in order to teach and support learning on a range of modules.
  • Staff at this level are expected to achieve Associate Fellow of the HEA within two years of appointment (if not already achieved) and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
