Birkbeck Business School is looking to recruit a part-time, fixed-term Associate Lecturer to teach the module:-
Services Marketing
27 hours, teaching on Thursdays 6-7.30pm and 7.30-9pm
Summer Term, April - August 2026.
This module introduces students to services marketing across both professional practice and academic contexts. Assuming a foundation in the principles of marketing, it provides an overview of the theory and practice of services marketing. Students will test the validity of concepts and analytical frameworks by applying them to real-world case studies of service providers.
The module delivery:
Module is taught through a combination of lectures and weekly in-person classes.
Lectures and reading materials are already in place; while there is scope to revise and enhance them, this is not a requirement.
You'll lead the weekly in-person sessions, designed to be interactive rather than lecture-based, with a focus on exercises and problem-solving.
The role also includes marking assignments.
The Module Convenor, named below as the key contact, will oversee the module and provide ongoing support to the appointed individual.
A successful Associate Lecturer should:
Possess sound knowledge of marketing and statistics for analytics.
Demonstrate a commitment to student learning and academic development.
Be able to engage students actively in interactive sessions.
