Founded in 1837, the Royal College of Art is the world\'s largest community of postgraduate art and design students. We are looking for new Technical Studies staff at the Royal College of Art to teach alongside Architecture Design Studio teaching with a specific background in Environmental design and sustainability, Fa\xc3\xa7ade engineering or MEP.

You role would be to support students developing the technical aspects of their design for a total of 10 days, of which 12 days half day tutorials, 2 full day cross crits, and three termly group tutorials, and time for marking.

You will be responsible for a group of 6 - 9 students, predominantly between January and end of June, following two distinct TS projects.

TS1.Climate emergency manifesto - focussing on global technical design aspects.

TS2.Inhabitation - developing two spaces in detail focussing also on internal comfort, light and acoustics.

Lecturers (ALs) at the Royal College of Art (RCA) contribute high quality, postgraduate teaching and tuition to complement and enhance core teaching delivery of Programmes across Schools and Directorates. ALs bring leading industry expertise and specialism, often from diverse disciplines and sectors, ensuring students receive depth and diversity in their Programme learning, and multi-disciplinary input during their studies.

The AL will be responsible for contributing to high-quality teaching and tuition to complement and enhance core teaching delivery of the study of interiors. The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm for working collegiately with staff and students, with a high level of commitment commensurate with the requirements of a world-leading institution. They will be able to demonstrate experience in a media-based practice such as, but not limited to, photography, curation, moving image, publishing, digital or narrative environments.
