Why Join Us

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile, complex projects that are shaping the future of our logistics network. Working closely with the Project Manager you'll take ownership of critical project workstreams and PMO initiatives, driving delivery from planning through to execution. You'll have the autonomy to influence processes, set priorities, and make decisions that directly impact successful outcomes.

We are looking for Associate Project Managers across two of our major transformation programmes. The first is the delivery of a 1.3 million sq ft National Distribution Centre at Daventry and the second is the delivery of our 390,000 sq ft Regional Distribution Centre in Avonmouth, Bristol. Beyond these flagship developments, you'll also contribute to a pipeline of upcoming and exploratory projects, helping to design and deliver a modern, scalable logistics network built for future growth.

If you're motivated by large-scale infrastructure, thrive in fast-moving environments, and want your work to make a visible, lasting impact, this role offers the challenge, exposure, and progression to take your project management career to the next level.

What You'll Be Doing

Own delivery of project workstreams, including scope and timelines. Plan, prioritise and coordinate activities across workstreams, managing actions, risks and issues within time and budget. Develop and maintain an integrated project plan aligned across all workstreams. Track project performance, assess deviations, and implement corrective actions. Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates. Lead workshops and meetings to align cross-functional teams on objectives and deliverables. Proactively identify, log and manage project risks and issues, implementing new processes where required. Independently deliver supporting projects critical to programme success (e.g. operational readiness, technical testing, process validation). Lead assigned workstreams and forums with accountability to the Project Manager (e.g. chairing operational readiness forums). Drive project controls and process improvements, including budget review, reporting and design review initiatives. Deliver smaller sub-projects or feasibility assessments end-to-end, reporting on progress and timelines.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrated experience in project delivery and implementation, ideally on large-scale infrastructure or automation projects. Proficiency in project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and associated tools. Strong ability to exercise judgement across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards Strong reasoning and balanced judgement to support rational decision making (often under pressure). Stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation experience within complex programmes. Recognised Project Management accreditation (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI) would be advantageous. Strong working experience of a Logistics, Retail, Food or Supply Chain background would be advantageous. If you have familiarity with automation technologies and their integration into logistics or supply chain operations and experience in risk management, this is advantageous but not essential.
