Associate, Projects & Energy Transition (Relocate to Seoul/Singapore)
The Opportunity:
Our Projects & Energy Transition team in Seoul is looking for a lawyer with at least 4 years of legal experience. Preference is for candidate to join the Seoul office but Singapore may be an option.
We operate as a tight-knit integrated team across our Asian offices and regularly cross-staff our transactions with lawyers from the Projects & Energy Transition Team in Tokyo, Singapore, Jakarta and Seoul. Given the wide geographical remit of our practice, we also regularly work with our Australian, Middle Eastern and European offices.
About you:
The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 4 years of legal experience gained (preferably) within private practice.
  • Proficiency in Korean language (speaking, reading and writing) is a must.
  • Experience working on the financing documentation for large scale financings in the energy (and particularly power and LNG) and infrastructure space that have been structured to support a project financing.
  • Ability to build team morale and motivate team members, contributing to the creation of a positive work environment and assisting with training and development.
  • A proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
  • Experience with international clients, development banks/multilaterals and export credit agencies is preferred but not essential.
