Fike Safety Technology Ltd (FST) is located in Cwmbran and specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of Fire Detection and Fire Suppression products for European compliant markets.
About the role
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Regional Sales & Accounts Manager to support the sales of Fike Fire Detection & Control products within the UK and EU distribution sector.
This role focuses on maintaining and increasing sales through our well-established regional distribution channels by providing support and building strong relationships with both current and potential customers.
Additional responsibilities include working closely with the other Fike Regional Sales Managers, the National Channel Manager, and the Customer Service and Technical Support teams. This collaborative effort ensures that all distributors and customers receive the necessary support whenever and wherever needed.
This role requires regular travel, approximately 50/50.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage Responsible for ensuring your sales and performance targets are achieved for Distribution Accounts
and ensure timely action is taken as and when required
Identify new distribution opportunities (defined territories) and build a trusting and professional relationship to achieve profitable growth objectives
Promote Company products/services and provide sales support/training to distribution accounts.
Work with the external sales team to jointly grow sales and develop strong relationships
Collaborate with customer service, production, and accounts teams to ensure orders and accounts are managed accurately and efficiently.
Be the source of communication with production planning, order delivery and accounts for timely resolution of disputes and queries by coordinating communications with factory technical, engineering, quality and technical support teams
Assist in the planning and execution of trade shows and other sales events
Provides follow-up efforts on leads generated from advertising, trade shows, or other market means.
Tracks identified opportunities by utilising Sales Force software and other pipeline programs.
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and sales plans as required
Assist with pricing updates, negotiations and implementation
Monitors sales forecasts via Bookings and Shipment Reports through available dashboards.
Schedules sales calls and conducts prospect analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Researches, tracks and reports on competitive technology and commercial activities within the UK/EU market
Maintains an understanding of British Standards and other applicable fire protection standards/guidelines and local Authorities
Share market changes and opportunities to the greater team as and when appropriate
Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.
Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally
Job Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Sales or Business & Marketing functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Detailed understanding and experience of Manufacturer/Distribution model in terms of delivery of B2B operations
Proven ability to develop relationships and influence people to win product sales
Confident speaker with exceptional communication skills to discuss both technical and commercial led solutions
Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
Experience
Confident and driven sales professional with minimum of 5 years proven success in achieving and exceeding both revenue and profit targets in fire and/or Security related industry. (EUR3m+)
Minimum of 2 years' experience working for an electronics manufacturing company (Fire systems/products desirable)
Proven success in developing and growing key accounts (500k+) to maximise their potential
Knowledge and experience of managing sales/account activity on Salesforce/CRM platforms
Knowledge and understanding of managing business processes.
