Job Title Associate (Senior Manager), Operational Risk, Controls & Governance



What is the opportunity?

You will be an Operational Risk Associate.

What will you do?

Conducting analysis or deep dives on operational risk events, with the objectives of identifying control enhancements in the end-to-end processes, and taking lessons learned to relevant business units as a proactive measure to reduce the likelihood and impact of future losses.

Evaluating the effectiveness of the overall control environment through various control monitoring activities to supplement management\'s assessment of its residual risks.

Providing assurance of the Internal Control Environment in CM by conducting activities to ensure internal controls are sufficient to mitigate the key risks and operating effectively.

Providing guidance on current and emerging operational risk and internal control management best practices for CM businesses.

Ensuring Operational Risk Management programs are executed in compliance with enterprise level standards;

Support the development, implementation and enhancement of Operational Risk Management reporting practices to committees, internal/external stakeholders, and senior management; to support the management and monitoring of the European businesses\' Operational Risk and Conduct Risk profiles, aligned to enterprise policy.

Providing input to stakeholders on the end-to-end review of inherent and residual operational risk impacts of various Change Initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Business Degree with minimum solid related Capital Markets experience/operational risk propositions and frameworks.

Some knowledge of trading, lending and investment banking businesses with particular emphasis on the control environment as it relates to Front Office, Operations processing, financial and management reporting, and market/credit risk and compliance monitoring.

Good knowledge of operational risk management industry best practices for Capital Markets products.

Good communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 written and verbal.

Nice-to-have

Enquiring mindset with the ability to think analytically.

Strong organisational skills, detail oriented.

Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities.

Previous experience in an operational risk assessment role.
