An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cancer Services at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust as a Band 7 Associate Service Manager. The
role will require cross site working at both University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Experience within Cancer Services and knowledge of Cancer Waiting Times guidance and working knowledge of the Somerset Cancer Registry system is essential, as well as a good understanding of patient pathway navigation. exciting opportunity to coordinate the ongoing work and service development across our integrated organisation. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is well organised and motivated to join our Cancer Data Team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that the patient's pathways are tracked fully by the tracking teams and that the data collected is of high quality to ensure that national and local targets are delivered fully. This involves navigating patients through their pathways to treatment or discharge, ensuring that all patients are escalated in a timely manner to managers & clinical teams when needed and helping with the preparation of MDM meetings, with the aim of improving the care and experience of cancer patients treated within the Trust.
You must enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to prioritise your own workload. You will need good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, be IT literate, and able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
