Associate / Snr Associate

We are currently looking for an experienced consultant with an entrepreneurial mind-set and strong leadership qualities to join us in a middle leadership role as an Associate Consultant. We will give you exposure to a variety of different projects as well as exposing you to our other consulting businesses and the wider EIU. As Associate consultant, this will provide you with an opportunity to be a critical member of the leadership and be heavily involved in leading and managing strategic projects and engagements with our key clients, leading a team of healthcare consultants including guidance, mentorship, and coaching, as well as driving key company initiatives including new solutions development, workflow improvement, staff training etc. You will meet, work with, and be mentored by our industry leading consultants and economists.

Accountabilities

The role

The role kicks off with a structured induction to give you an overview of our various businesses and how we interact with the wider healthcare industry, introducing you to work across the different consulting teams, which are led by our experienced consultants.

Our approach to developing emerging leaders means you will be continuously mentored so that you have the necessary support and guidance to fully develop your knowledge and skills. You will be working closely with more senior consultants who will help you consolidate these new capabilities.

We believe in equipping you so that you have the ability to progress quickly in our business. You will first become comfortable with our analysis frameworks and methodologies and develop your people & project management skills. As you move from Senior Associate towards Principal, we will help you become proficient in managing our client accounts and developing new business for us. We want you to progress quickly so we will focus on ensuring you have the right skills at each stage.

The role, while intensive, is rewarding and you will be part of a culture which is supportive and nurturing. We are seeking future consulting leaders and therefore we will develop and support you continuously.

How you will contribute:

  • Serve as the client engagement lead and project lead during the course of the project engagement, including communicating project updates, presenting key milestones, pre-empting project issues, managing different client stakeholders, etc.
  • Lead a team of analyst across all types of project engagements in the areas of market opportunity assessment, go-to-market strategy, customer insights, channel optimization strategy, market access, and competitive benchmarking
  • Involve in and support the development and marketing of new solutions, including conceptualization, research design, and analysis framework development
  • Conduct business development activities to grow key account relationships via request for proposals and/or new project assignments.
  • Mentor, guide, appraise and develop analysts and senior analysts, ensuring that they develop the necessary skill sets in order to meet their performance goals and successfully grow their careers

The ideal skills for this role are:
  • Relevant experience in healthcare business consulting and/or market research, with proven track record in project management/project leadership
  • Demonstrated history of accomplishment with client engagement, with strong customer success stories and/or evidence of sales contribution
  • Strong evidence of achievements in managing others, including coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect reports in a matrix organization
  • Good command of written and spoken English, with other language a plus
  • Highly analytical, organized, meticulous and a self-starter
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to motivate teams and work well with people at all levels in the organization
  • Strong business acumen with versatility to think inside and outside of the box
  • Ability to work independently and among teams, in a fast-paced team structure
  • Highly self-aware, flexible and focused on solutions not problems
  • Passionate about healthcare, and in particular the MedTech industry
