We're looking for an
Associate System Engineer
to join our API Platform team.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our API System Engineering team and work with a team of talented System Engineers that support the API platform.
You will contribute to the build, test, support and delivery of infrastructure upgrades and software currency uplifts to ensure that we maintain platform improvements. Whilst also collaborating with your fellow engineers to deliver a stable and up-to date platform to our customers.
You'll be key in delivering features through route to live changes in an Agile way of working
This role will aid and improve your use of cloud technologies but you will also get an understanding of the Java-based API platforms that you will be supporting as they are a key integration layer of the Bank.

What you'll be doing
This role will be focused on helping us create and maintain the existing infrastructure and software currency within the API space. Working on various technologies from AWS/Ansible/Bash/Python/Terraform, our platform runs on AWS with using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. Using Datadog/Splunk for logging/monitoring capabilities.
We are looking for people with experience or at least some knowledge in these areas. Being involved with the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Application as Code (AaC).
Ensuring the API platform is kept up to date with patching and removing vulnerabilities when discovered within the SLA period.
Working alongside Senior and Lead Engineers to aid your learning and development of cloud technologies.
Contributing to embedding an agile mindset and approach focused on improving outcomes.

We need you to have
A bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics or related field OR experience in a System engineer role.
