We're looking for an Associate/Senior Associate - Urban Designer to join our growing team at 24/Three.
Location:
Northampton/Newark/Cambridge (location flexible for the right candidate)
This is a key leadership role for an experienced urban designer who's ready to take ownership of major projects and help shape the future of our people-first practice.
You'll lead the design and delivery of sustainable, commercially viable places from strategic land and masterplans to urban extensions and regeneration schemes. With a blend of creativity, commercial awareness and practical know-how, you'll guide projects from concept through to completion, while mentoring others and strengthening client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
Leading major urban design and masterplanning projects from concept to completion
Acting as the primary client contact, nurturing long-term relationships
Managing multi-disciplinary teams, budgets and programmes efficiently
Developing design strategies for complex sites including design codes, outline and full planning applications
Championing sustainability, innovation and social value in everything you do
Mentoring team members and supporting professional development
Contributing to business development and the strategic direction of the practice
What you'll bring:
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Urban Design, Architecture or a related field
10+ years' experience in UK-based urban design or masterplanning
Strong leadership and project delivery experience
Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy, sustainability principles and design frameworks
Proficiency in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp
Confident communication and presentation skills
A collaborative, thoughtful approach with a commercial mindset
A full UK driving licence or ability to travel between sites and studios
