We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are followed meticulously. Help with the cooking process, including grilling, frying, baking, and plating dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment. Support the Head Cook in menu planning and meal preparation tasks. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
