What does this team do?

The Pricing Centre is part of the Audit & Assurance Group. We provide valuation support to Deloitte's North-South Europe (NSE) audit practice as well as delivering assurance engagements across industries and jurisdictions.


The Pricing Centre is part of our wider Audit & Assurance group. The team works directly on audit & assurance projects in Europe (specifically the North and South regions), to figure out the true market value of different financial investments. This includes everything from simple bonds to more complicated investments such as derivatives and structured finance. It's a challenging but rewarding field with lots of opportunities to learn and grow your career in finance.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world.


You'll need to be interested in financial mathematics and need to be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in a numerical or scientific discipline. You must also be in the penultimate year of your course.


If you're passionate about business and eager to tackle challenging projects, you will be a great fit.


The following would be useful but not necessary for a successful candidate:

Some programming skills in at least one of the following languages (VBA, MATLAB, Python) Previous use of 3rd-party tools e.g. Bloomberg, ICE SD, Refinitiv, etc. Good knowledge of excel

What kind of work will I do?

For 12 months you'll be a key part of our business. We are going to provide you with all the necessary training and support to develop your knowledge in derivatives. Member of the Pricing Centre, handling valuation requests from across the firm and assurance clients. Valuations are performed using a combination of internally developed and externally purchased tools, as well as internal and external market data. You will assist in the provision of valuation services by the Pricing Centre, which may include:

Valuing financial instruments and preparing detailed workings supporting the valuation Replicating trade structures in valuation tools Collating, assessing and using relevant market data Investigation of valuation differences e.g. performing sensitivity analysis Discussion with client staff to understand their valuation methodologies and inputs Discussion with senior Deloitte stakeholders on the results of valuation work Creation of bespoke pricing tools Performing model validation and related exercises

On all the projects you will be supported by senior team members.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

Alongside that you would understand practical uses of various third party tools including Bloomberg, SuperDerivatives and Refinitiv. There are also additional trainings available to develop any soft or hard skills that would shape your future career.
