We have just opened our doors as a new nursery setting this September 2025 and are growing rapidly!
L3 & L6 Early years qualified staff - 5 stage interview process and then a start date agreed.
As a relatively new provision we have successfully expanded and are in the process of taking our time to recruit only the very best staff for our Montessori Forest School Nursery provision.

About us
We have 2 nursery settings, Our first setting called 'A-Star Kids Islamic Pre-School' opened on Lees Road in Oldham in 2021 and is an Ofsted GOOD rated Provider - Secured GOOD in all 4 categories. We are a popular pre-school and Nursery and we were able to open our second brand new Montessori forest school Nursery, located in Coppice (just down the road from Oldham Hulme Grammar School) just this September!
Our Ambition is to secure OUTSTANDING and we are recruiting long term staff to join us on our journey to outstanding.
L6 & L3 Early Years CHILDCARE STAFF REQUIRED FOR VARIOUS START DATES

We are recruiting for various shift patterns for start dates after October Half-Term or Earlier. We pride ourselves in offering flexible working patterns to suit you - your personal circumstances and commitment's are considered.
We are also looking for highly experienced candidates to take up leadership positions with us Full time.
You must hold a Level 3 or Level 6 Childcare qualification relevant to early years. Candidates who have extensive experience in the Early Years sector are desirable and will be shortlisted & contacted first.
Candidates must also have passed GCSE/Functional Skills in English and if possible mathematics too.
Unfortunately we cannot consider you if you have a qualification in any other subject such as health and social care or other teaching subject not relevant to early years.
If you are a candidate with a degree or Level 3 award in Health & Social Care you will not be considered.
Interviews will be held throughout September 2025 and October 2025.
Our recruitment process consists of a 5-stage process and we will strictly require a reference from your current employer.

We offer both 38-week Term Time Contracts and 52 Week contracts.
EXAMPLE SHIFT PATTERN FULL TIME:
5 FULL DAYS MONDAY-FRIDAY (Term time or Full Year)
START TIME = 7.30AM/7AM/8.15AM/8.30am or 9am
FINISH TIME = 3.15pm/3.30pm or 4.30pm
EXAMPLE SHIFT PATTERN PART TIME:
MON-FRI
7.30AM-1PM or 12pm-3.30pm or 12pm-4.30pm

A-Star Kids offer 2 unique childcare settings both of which offer a montessori forest school curriculum and Islamic Faith ethos Curriculum alongside teaching British Values. We offer a unique curriculum package - using outstanding teaching & learning, access to outdoor forestry sessions and a fantastic team we aim to develop our Pre-Schoolers into successful, confident and curious young people ready to embark on a primary school education when they graduate.

DAILY FOREST SCHOOL SESSIONS
We have an ambitious Forest School Curriculum and visit our very own Private Forest School site daily for our children where our children take part in a a range of Forest School activities designed to allow children to learn, explore, build confidence and resilience outdoors - You need to be ready to venture outdoors and plan activities based around nature for our children!

You must be able:
