Atlas Axis serves as the

Core Council Governance Operations (GovOps)

function for Sky.

We are responsible for building and maintaining

the Atlas

, the comprehensive rule system that defines how every actor in the Sky ecosystem interacts, deploys capital, manages risk, and coordinates under verifiable constraints.

governance

Codifying the rules

that govern Agent behavior and capital deployment.

Developing the frameworks and tooling

that enable new financial primitives to be introduced safely.

Ensuring system-wide safety

in building infrastructure that aligns with Sky's risk, governance, and economic standards.

Role Overview -- Lead Spell Crafting Engineer

#

Spell Crafting refers to the development of

highly secure, reliable, and verifiable Solidity smart contracts

that encode the rules, constraints, and capabilities of the Sky ecosystem.

As the

Lead Spell Crafting Engineer

, you will be responsible for architecting and building the foundational smart contract infrastructure that defines how capital flows, how Agents interact, and how governance rules are enforced.

This is a deeply technical, high-leverage role with ownership over critical-path code.


You will build and lead a team of Spell Engineers whose mission is to deliver

mission-critical, rigorously verified smart contracts

that safeguard Sky's financial system.


This is a role for someone hungry for

Key Responsibilities

Architect & Build Core Smart Contract Infrastructure Design and implement highly secure Solidity contracts ("spells") for capital flows, Agent permissions, governance logic, and risk constraints. Develop modular and extensible components that integrate with Sky Core. Apply deep EVM-level reasoning, gas optimization, and safety-by-design principles.

2. Lead & Scale the Spell Engineering Function

Build, mentor, and guide a team of Spell Engineers. Define coding standards, testing practices, audit readiness processes, and documentation norms. Set the technical bar for quality, correctness, and resilience.

3. Own Security, Verification & Audit Processes

Lead internal reviews, threat modeling, and formal verification planning. Collaborate closely with external auditors and internal security stakeholders. Ensure system safety across all deployed spells and contract upgrades.

4. Work Cross-Functionally Across Governance, Risk & Research

Translate the Atlas (rulebook) into executable logic. Partner with governance, economic researchers, and risk engineers to define safe system behavior. Act as the technical authority on how rules are encoded and enforced on-chain.

5. Influence the Long-Term Architecture of Sky Core

Make foundational architectural decisions that shape how Agents operate and scale. Ensure extensibility, upgradeability, and robustness of the system as new Agents, primitives, and markets emerge.

What Great Looks Like

Expert-level Solidity and smart contract architecture experience. Knowledge of EVM internals and gas optimization techniques. A strong security mindset, ideally with experience in formal verification and audit processes. Experience building or contributing to mission-critical DeFi/L1/L2 systems.
