32.5 per week (39 weeks)

The governors wish to appoint a dedicated and hard-working Attendance and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer to improve attendance and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils. The postholder will lead targeted work on reducing persistent absence and promoting a culture of safeguarding, in line with statutory duties and Oldham Council guidelines.
The successful candidate will:
Lead on monitoring of pupil attendance and punctuality across school
Work directly with families to address barriers to attendance through early help, home visits and structured action plans.
Be professional at all times and be a team player.
Be positive, inspirational and self motivated.
Have a sound knowledge of working of safeguarding in schools.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
