Wrexham AFC is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Matchday Designated Safeguarding Officer
to promote and implement the Club's safeguarding policies during all matchdays and events. You will act as a visible point of contact for safeguarding concerns and ensure a safe and supportive environment for children, young people, and adults at risk.Key Responsibilities:
Act as the lead safeguarding contact on matchdays Provide advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding concerns Manage and assess safeguarding issues in line with Club policy Maintain accurate and confidential records Liaise with external bodies (e.g. Police, Local Authorities) when required Ensure compliance with EFL Safeguarding Standards Support the Club's ongoing safeguarding strategy and staff training
Requirements:
Significant safeguarding experience in sport, education, welfare or social care Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice Excellent communication and decision-making skills Ability to manage sensitive and complex cases Strong IT and time management skills Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required

This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check with Children's Barred List Commitment to Health & Safety and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion is essential

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
