Attendance and Welfare Officer

to join our HR and wellbeing team. This role plays a key part in supporting our staff and ensuring the effective management of attendance and employee wellbeing across the organisation.

About the Role



As our

Attendance and Welfare Officer

, you will:

Monitor and record staff sickness absence and attendance in line with Invercare's policies. Support managers in managing short- and long-term absence cases, ensuring a consistent and supportive approach. Maintain accurate HR records and produce regular absence reports. Coordinate welfare meetings, Occupational Health referrals, and return-to-work discussions. Provide advice and guidance to staff and managers on attendance, wellbeing, and related policies. Promote staff health and wellbeing initiatives, encouraging a positive and supportive work culture

About You



We're looking for someone who is:

Empathetic, approachable, and professional when dealing with sensitive situations. Organised, with excellent attention to detail and good administrative skills. Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems to maintain accurate records and reports. Able to handle confidential information with discretion. Passionate about promoting staff wellbeing and inclusion.

Preferred Criteria but not essential as full training will be given :



Previous experience in HR administration, workforce, or staff wellbeing role. Knowledge of attendance management or employee relations processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a health or social care setting.
Understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and occupational health processes
