About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong understanding of the barriers to regular attendance and the ability to support pupils and families in overcoming them. A whole-school approach to attendance is already embedded, and we are seeking the right candidate to build on this foundation and further reduce absenteeism.
As Attendance Officer, you will work closely with school staff and multi-agency partners within the Local Authority to lead and implement attendance procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading initiatives to improve attendance across all year groups
Working proactively with families to reduce absence and promote engagement
Championing a culture of punctuality and regular attendance throughout the school
You Will:
Bring energy, imagination, and a sense of humour to the role
Be committed to raising the profile of attendance within school and the wider community
Be confident engaging with families both in school and in their homes
Be highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
Demonstrate high standards in compiling casework and documenting evidence
Understand safeguarding responsibilities in relation to attendance
