The Role
As an
Attraction Assistant,
you'll be at the heart of our attraction. Your role is essential to delivering a seamless and memorable experience for every guest.
No two days will be the same
, and your ability to adapt, engage, and go the extra mile will be key.
You will play a vital role in ensuring a
positive visitor experience
by providing flexible support across various operational areas of the attraction. This dynamic role could involve assisting in the food and beverage outlet, visitor centre and gift shop, supporting setup for activities or events, and maintaining cleanliness across the attraction.
Your primary focus will be on
delivering exceptional customer service
while also maximising sales opportunities in commercial areas such as the gift shop or cafe (depending on the attraction).
Additionally, you may be involved in setting up spaces for seasonal activities, events, or client functions. Maintaining clean, organised, and well-stocked areas, whether in the gift shop, food and beverage outlet, or visitor facilities will also be a key part of your role.
This position requires flexibility, including working weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as necessary and fulfilling any other duties as reasonably required.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve Organisational Objectives:
o Responsible for contributing to the company's overall customer service experience and upselling goals and objectives. This includes meeting targets, improving performance, and contributing to the company's success.
o Developing a deep understanding of all products and services offered at the attraction to effectively help visitors.
Visitor Interaction:
o Providing a warm interaction to all visitors and meeting the needs of visitors, including taking payments.
o Upselling products and services, working collaboratively to achieve departmental sales goals.
o Leading the way in delivering first class customer service and engagement.
o Ensuring compliance with day-to-day health & safety, ensuring the safety of all visitors and staff members.
o Resolving customer complaints promptly and professionally, aiming for swift and satisfactory resolutions, as well as escalating additional needs to the appropriate department or manager.
Secondary Spend:
o Selling items from the gift shop or cafe to visitors (depending on the attraction), working collaboratively to achieve departmental sales goals.
o Identifying opportunities to upsell further products to visitors.
o Overseeing the daily operations of the gift shop or cafe (depending on the attraction) and ensuring it is visually appealing and organised in its layout.
o Monitoring stocks and continuously reviewing and reporting on all sellable items.
Additional Duties:
o Assist in setting up spaces for seasonal activities, special events, and client functions.
o Maintain presentation standards and ensure facilities are cleaned and restocked as needed.
Problem Solving:
o Identify and resolve any challenges or issues that may arise, finding solutions and mitigating problems effectively.
Effective Communication:
o Ensure clear and transparent communication with visitors, colleagues and with other departments.
Visitor Satisfaction:
o Ensuring visitors have their expectations exceeded during their visit.

Desired Experience
Previous experience in a tourism and/or commercial environment.
Previous experience in customer facing role.
EPOS, cash handling and e-payments experience.
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office).
