We are seeking a dedicated and organised Auction Staff member to join our team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of auction events and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong office experience, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in various computer applications. Duties
Assist with the organisation and preparation of auction events, including setting up auction items and registration stations
Manage data entry related to auction lots, bidder information, and financial transactions using software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programmes
Provide exceptional phone etiquette when communicating with bidders, clients, and vendors
Support administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and maintaining accurate records
Utilise organisational skills to ensure all auction documentation is up-to-date and accessible
Operate office equipment efficiently and troubleshoot minor technical issues with computers or software as needed
Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating auction activities to ensure timely execution
Handle incoming enquiries via phone or email promptly and professionally
Requirements
Previous office experience or administrative background is preferred
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
Experience with data entry, typing accuracy, and managing digital records
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
Clerical experience is desirable but not essential; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are important
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional manner
