Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Removal Driver/ Auction Porter to join our small team in a long established family business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with staff and clients. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to and from various locations and undertaking house clearances. Load and unload items, securing and ensuring proper handling of all goods. Communicate effectively with office management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies. Assist in the saleroom when not driving, including organising auctions and preparing items for sale and delivery.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with experience as a van driver preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of the van and working in the saleroom. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and basic computer skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety awareness while driving. Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
