The position of Audience Engagement Manager is one of high responsibility and accountability within Informa Global Finance. Joining a growing team, you will lead on community building and relationship management - with VIPs and other key stakeholders - for the Banking portfolio, taking responsibility for a broad range of events within the team. The environment is busy and challenging and you will be working on multiple projects at once.

The successful candidate will play a lead role in supporting and contributing to the growth across multiple portfolios; predominantly in the fintech, investment, and risk management sectors. The position is best suited to a self-motivated and confident individual who is happy to work individually and as part of a team and is willing to get involved in driving the community build and a VIP offering.

The Audience Engagement Manager is a motivated, resourceful, and responsible individual who relishes working in a fast-paced environment on multi-event portfolios. This role will be reporting to the Head of Audience Engagement and we are looking for someone who is a proactive, highly organized, outgoing professional, a real team player, and has excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Expand the offering and strategy for the VIP team in conjunction with the Head of Audience Engagement and Brand Strategy Director.
  • Liaise with conference producers, sales team members, speakers, and sponsors to identify key industry community members and VIPs (including investors) to invite to Informa Global Finance events.
  • Contact selected, qualified individuals by email, phone and social media to discuss attendance and secure their participation in various structured networking / social formats.
  • Hit audience and facilitation targets, as agreed by the Head of Audience Engagement
  • Meet and greet the VIPs onsite at each event, ensure they are looked after, and participate in the proposed networking/social programs.
  • Ensure that VIPs have a superior customer experience pre-event, onsite and post-event.
  • Work closely with the event sponsors to maximize the participation of their clients in the event.
  • Build strong relationships with these key VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
  • Organize VIP Dinners, Breakfast Briefings, and Closed-Door Meetings and secure VIP attendance at these functions and formats.
  • Work closely with the delivery team to ensure that all sessions run smoothly.
  • Deliver the 1-to-1 Meeting Service in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Conduct research with audience to collect feedback and suggest improvements pre-event, onsite and post-event.
  • Help develop the online community through digital media channels.
  • Works closely with VIPs to understand their needs, who they want to meet, what they want to know.
  • Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP (and other key stakeholders) passes.
  • Increase the overall communities (including VIPs and key influencers), using your network, research methods, and relationship building.
  • Identify new key target groups in line with the brand expansion and utilize these contacts to broaden the opportunities for the sales team.
  • Increase audience engagement through wider product adoption
  • Develop and leverage relationships with key influencers, trade associations, and other organizations to grow the VIP outreach, for example, via partnerships.
  • Support VIP onboarding and sponsorship deliverables across other portfolios if needed.
  • Build an active social media presence
Qualifications
  • 1-year events experience desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to network with senior industry figures, customer-centric behaviours
  • The desire to think creatively, to innovate and to shape a product around customer needs
  • Proven research skills using a number of information sources
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Time management with an ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and a collaborative mind set
