Location:

Ipswich, Suffolk (with travel across the UK and occasionally Europe)

Salary:

Competitive, based on experience. OTE 27,500 - 38,500

Contract:

Full time

The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced AV Event Technician to join our growing production team. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced, creative events and media production environment, delivering high quality technical solutions for business focused events.

You will play a key role in delivering audio visual, lighting and staging solutions for conferences, award ceremonies, product launches and similar live events. While you will have a particular strength in one technical discipline such as audio, video or lighting, you will also have a good working knowledge across the others.

You will work alongside a passionate and supportive team that takes pride in its work, values high standards and has ambitious plans for the future.

What You Will Do



Prepare, set up, operate and de rig AV, lighting and staging equipment Operate live sound, projection, video and lighting systems Prepare and pack equipment before and after events Load and unload equipment from vehicles safely and efficiently Assist with installation and first line maintenance of AV equipment Create and manage show graphics, audio playback and set elements Provide basic technical support and guidance to clients and end users

Essential skills and experience



Experience working on live events Strong skills in at least one technical discipline such as sound, lighting or video, with a good working knowledge of others Experience operating PA systems, projectors, cameras and stage lighting Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure Full UK driving licence

Desirable



Experience with live camera operation and video editing Experience creating PowerPoint presentations Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure

Training and Development



We are members of AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, and provide access to industry recognised training. We actively encourage technicians to develop their skills and progress within the business.
