Junior Audio Visual Installation Engineer
to join our delivery team and work closely with a
Senior AV Engineer
on the installation, commissioning, and support of AV systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the AV industry, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies and project types.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Site Work
Assist Senior Engineers with the installation of AV systems including:
Displays, LED walls, and projection systems
Audio systems (speakers, microphones, DSPs)
Video conferencing solutions (Teams / Zoom Rooms)
Control systems and touch panels
Carry out first-fix and second-fix installation works, including:
Mounting screens, brackets, and equipment
Cable pulling, dressing, and termination (HDMI, CAT6, fibre, speaker cable)
Support basic system configuration under supervision
Testing & Commissioning Support
Assist with testing and fault-finding of installed systems
Support commissioning activities alongside Senior Engineers
Ensure systems meet project specifications and quality standards
Health, Safety & Quality
Work in line with company health & safety procedures and site regulations
Maintain a clean, professional, and organised working environment
Ensure tools, equipment, and company assets are looked after correctly
Learning & Development
Learn AV standards, best practices, and manufacturer technologies
Shadow Senior Engineers to develop troubleshooting and commissioning skills
Attend training sessions and manufacturer courses where required
Required Skills & ExperienceEssential
Strong interest in Audio Visual, IT, or technology-based systems
Basic understanding of AV or IT concepts (through education, hobby, or work experience)
Willingness to work on construction and live customer sites
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Full UK driving licence (or working towards one)
Desirable
Previous experience in AV, IT, electrical, or low-voltage installation
Knowledge of:
HDMI, HDBaseT, CAT5e/CAT6
Video conferencing platforms
Basic networking concepts
ECS / CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
