You will be responsible for the setup, commissioning, and support of advanced AV and IT-integrated systems across a variety of sites. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, making AV systems seamless for end users.
The position involves travel throughout NI & ROI, with occasional projects across GB and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Installing, configuring, commissioning, and testing
audio visual and IT-integrated systems
.
Programming and configuring
control systems and networked AV devices
(e.g. Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Extron).
Integrating AV systems with
IT networks, APIs, and software platforms
.
Carrying out
off-site setup and testing
of systems before installation.
Providing
technical troubleshooting and problem resolution
on-site.
Conducting
site surveys
to assess installation and networking requirements.
Delivering
end-user training
and demonstrations to clients.
Performing
planned preventative maintenance
and reporting findings.
Collaborating with designers, project managers, and software teams to fine-tune system performance.
Ensuring compliance with
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
, company policies, and industry best practice.
Identifying and sharing opportunities for
process and system improvements
.
Experience & Qualifications
We welcome candidates from either AV or IT/CS backgrounds.
EITHER
: 3+ years as an AV Commissioning / Service Engineer
OR
: Degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Networking, with proven hands-on technical skills
Additional desirable skills:
Strong understanding of
IP networking, AV over IP, and system integrations
.
Programming knowledge (e.g. Python, C#, JavaScript, or control system scripting).
Experience with leading AV/IT manufacturers (Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Cisco, Extron, etc.).
Ability to interpret
skills across hardware and software layers.
High level of
organisation, attention to detail, and workload management
.
Confident communicator, able to explain systems to both technical and non-technical users.
Flexible and adaptable to evolving project requirements.
Willingness to travel and occasionally work at heights/in confined spaces.
Passion for
staying current with technology trends
in AV and IT.
