A respected and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join its Peterborough office. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong leadership experience who enjoys managing people and delivering high-quality client service.

Role Responsibilities

Managing a team at varying levels of experience. Overseeing the workflow of audit and accounts assignments to ensure timely delivery. Allocating work effectively across the team based on capacity and capability. Reviewing files for technical quality and compliance. Mentoring, training and supporting junior team members. Contributing to ongoing process improvement and best practice development. Engaging with clients and partners to ensure strong, professional communication and service delivery. Applying sound working knowledge of personal tax and general compliance areas.

Personal Requirements

ACA/ACCA qualified with several years post-qualification experience. Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a UK accountancy practice. Strong working knowledge of audit, accounts preparation and personal tax. Proficient in accounting software and comfortable adopting new technology. Confident communicator with both internal teams and external clients. Organised, adaptable and commercially aware.
