The position involves overseeing a varied portfolio of audit, accounts and personal tax work, while guiding a developing team and contributing to the firm's ongoing service and process improvements. This role suits a qualified accountant who enjoys a mix of client interaction, technical review work and supporting colleagues in their career progression.
Role Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to team members across different experience levels.
Manage the lifecycle of audit and accounts assignments, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Allocate tasks and resources based on workload, capability and team strengths.
Review completed audit and accounts work for accuracy, compliance and alignment with firm procedures.
Act as a key point of contact during client engagements and support partners with client communication.
Contribute ideas to refine internal processes and support efficiency initiatives.
Apply technical expertise across audits, accounts preparation, personal tax and wider compliance tasks.
Personal Requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified, with several years' post-qualification experience.
Background in a UK accountancy practice with previous supervisory or management responsibilities.
Confident technical knowledge of audit, accounts and personal tax compliance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Comfortable using accounting software and open to adopting new systems.
Organised, adaptable and commercially aware, with a supportive, collaborative approach.
