Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Social work Professional to join as Audit & Quality Assurance Officer in Children and Young People\'s Services for Liverpool City Council.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • To ensure audit and quality assurance activity is effective to support good services and outcomes for children working within the Performance & Quality Assurance Framewo
  • Undertake case audits, thematic audits and dip sampling in all services - including feedback from children and families
  • Ensure the voice of the child and their lived experience is included in all audit wor
  • Follow up recommendations of individual audits undertaken by the post holder and others to ensure actions are carried out and social workers are supported
  • Devise and manage a system to ensure all audit actions are monitored and completed
  • Sample & quality assure audits and actions undertaken in all services
  • Disseminate learning from audit work across all services in both written formats and in development sessions working with the Workforce Development Lead and the LSCB Training Coordinator
  • Collate good practice from audits and quality assurance activity across services to include in reports and development sessions
  • Collate learning from all areas of quality assurance activity including the IRO footprint reports to disseminate to managers and staff
  • Use all learning to contribute to service learning & development plans including induction
  • Provide training and support to other staff undertaking audits
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues including LSCB audits
  • Provide reports to senior management, and all services on audits, recommendations and activity to improve outcomes for children and learning for staff
  • Maintain own Continuous Professional Development and develop a high level of professional knowledge through research, and reading, providing a source of expertise and developing specialist knowledge as required.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and government guidance as it relates to all service
  • Promote leading edge innovative best practice across all tiers of the services
  • Contribute to the Quality Assurance frameworks including contribute to the strategic and policy developments and procedures
  • Model inclusive practice in relation to identity and diversity, challenging any issues of concern.
  • Use, monitor and support the use of the electronic social care record system and fully utilise the capability of the system
  • Contribute to the professional development of others in the services
  • Ensure that client information data is lawfully gathered, accurate, up to date and only divulged in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the local government common law duty of confidentiality. Failure to apply these duties can lead to the individual or the Service facing court proceedings.
  • Develop the City Council\'s commitment to equal opportunities and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken
Essential Requirements:
  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years within children\'s services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
