We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer working to the Quality & Transformation Manager within Commissioning, Quality and Safeguarding who will embed quality assurance guidance and processes throughout each step of the commissioning cycle to ensure the provision of high quality, safe and compliant services ensuring improved outcomes for children, young people and families.

City of Doncaster Council ensures that all services are commissioned and quality assured against evidenced local need and statutory frameworks in line with local and national priorities. We continue to work proactively with all our partners and stakeholders to make the very best use of available resources and continuously review services to ensure they are high quality and value for money.

This role will work with a range of partners and stakeholders to ensure services meet required quality standards with a particular focus on Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Leadership & Management and Outcomes. The role will respond to the changing health, education and social care agendas and play a role in influencing multi-agency arrangements to support change and improve outcomes for children.

The appointed person will need to have experience in the Education, Health or Social Care sector with demonstrable knowledge of legislative frameworks. Effective communication and engagement skills, and the ability to manage sensitive discussions and situations are essential along with experience of using Microsoft Office and Google suites.

You will be an outstanding individual who thrives in taking an innovative approach to ensuring quality outcomes are achieved across a range of services which may include, but not be limited to:

Independent Special School and College Placements

Specialist Education and Alternative Provision

Short Breaks for children with disabilities

Residential placements for children in care
