Audit Manager

Main Duties



As an Audit Manager at Westcotts, you'll play a central role in both project delivery and team development. You'll be:

Leading and managing audits

for a varied portfolio of clients, planning and overseeing fieldwork under the direction of the Audit Partners Monitoring progress against key targets and proactively addressing any challenges Preparing and reviewing

financial statements

for audit and non-audit clients Building strong client relationships, becoming a trusted point of contact Translating complex technical issues into clear, practical advice Coaching and developing junior team members to reach their potential Conducting technical research and sharing insights with both clients and colleagues Supporting the Audit Partners with departmental development and contributing to new business proposals Attending local networking events and representing Westcotts in the business community Travelling to client sites and other Westcotts offices as needed (with hybrid working arrangements also in place)

Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications



We're looking for someone who is confident managing audits and enjoys being a hands-on leader. Ideally, you'll have:

ACA or ACCA qualification

(or part-qualified with strong experience) A solid background in audit within accountancy practice Experience in leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff Strong communication and interpersonal skills - both with clients and team members A professional, adaptable approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidence with

UK Financial Reporting Standards

and

International Auditing Standards

Good working knowledge of

Excel

,

Word

, and

Outlook

Experience with

Caseware

is a bonus

Ideally 36.25 hours / 5 days per week (flexible and hybrid working available). Annual salary review. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays with the opportunity to buy or sell a week's holiday. Opportunity to carry over one week's holiday into the following year. Death in service 3 x annual salary.
