The Audit Senior role is a varied and rewarding role that is guaranteed to develop and grow your business partnering and commercial finance skills along with your ability to analyse and interpret data.

As a key front-facing member of the Audit team, yourability to build strong working relationships and effectively implement our audit plans, projects and initiatives will be crucial to our success in enabling our clients to safeguard their controls and compliance and ultimately add commercial value to their businesses.

Key Responsibilities





Collaborate with management to develop audit plans considering organisational objectives, risks, and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential concern or non-compliance. Help to shape our audit procedures and testing methodologies to ensure we maintain a connected and consistent management approach to our audit practice and coverage. Lead and supervise audit juniors during fieldwork, ensuring we meet our timelines and quality standards. Analyse audit findings, identify any weaknesses or risks with internal controls and provide actionable recommendations. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients by fully understanding their business processes and industry specific challenges. Communicate audit objectives, scope and progress to clients and maintain open communication with the Audit Manager and Partner during the audit process. Acknowledge and seek to resolve client questions, concerns, and requests promptly. Build the client's confidence in you as a trusted advisor by taking time to understand their needs and offering insights and recommendations that will enhance their business internal controls and risk management practices. Assess strengths and delegate work accordingly to junior auditors while coaching and providing feedback and support throughout the audit process. Review and sign off documentation completion for accuracy and compliance with professional audit standards, providing feedback to juniors as appropriate. Create a positive and inclusive working environment for junior auditors, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and teamwork throughout each assignment. Maintain up to date knowledge of the latest accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Apply your technical knowledge to assess the appropriateness of accounting treatments and financial disclosures. Continuously enhance professional skills through learning and development, certifications, and self-directed learning. Act as an Audit ambassador with your general practice colleagues and new junior employees joining the firm. Where risks are identified that can be mitigated through the firm's services, encourage clients to invest in these services to support their commercial improvement. Help with marketing events and activities and network to develop relationships with potential audit clients. Participate in quarterly audit committee meetings designed to continually improve the audit experience for both clients and the audit team.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





Hold a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ICAS, or similar) Minimum of two years experience in an accountancy practice in a similar role Manage work and performance of junior members of the team Communicate in a professional, clear and concise way Collaborate effectively with others
