The Role
As
Audit Technical and Delivery Lead
, you will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence and consistency across audit engagements. You'll provide expert guidance on complex audit matters, support the implementation of methodology, and drive continuous improvement in audit delivery.
This is a
home-based role
with occasional travel to UK offices.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain robust audit procedures, supporting UK offices with technical expertise.
Technical Query Management:
Respond to complex audit queries and track recurring themes for improvement.
Guidance & Documentation:
Develop and share guidance on emerging topics, regulatory changes, and audit standards.
Training & Development:
Deliver targeted training sessions to address new requirements and areas for improvement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with audit teams and compliance functions to ensure consistency and high-quality practices.
What We're Looking For
ACA (or equivalent) professional qualification.
Strong experience in external audit, technical accounting, and quality control.
In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Mercia methodology and MyWorkpapers software is beneficial but not essential.
