Salary: 45,000.00 - 48,000.00 (dependant on experience)

This is a varied and rewarding role within a medium-sized, family-run business based in Cardiff, proudly part of the Senseco Group. With over 30 years of expertise in the Automation, Fire & Security industry, we are expanding our Automation Division and are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer or Manager to take on the role of Automatic Door Divisional Manager and support this growth.

In this role, you will lead the Automatic Door Division, working closely with our Industrial Door Divisional Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the department. Role Overview

40 hours per week 8:30am - 5:00pm Reporting to the Head of Automation Responsible for leading and developing the Automatic Door Division, working closely with the Industrial Door Divisional Manager Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers Overseeing the delivery of multiple projects, from quotation through to completion, in collaboration with the operations and helpdesk teams

Key Responsibilities include:

Liaising with customers and contractors throughout the full project lifecycle Carrying out site surveys and assessments Preparing estimates and quotations within the 5-day KPI Procuring and managing materials for projects Producing project documentation (e.g., RAMS, O&M's, Technical Files) Conducting quality audits to ensure compliance and high standards Meeting financial targets and KPIs set by the Managing Director Supervising the automation team and supporting engineers with technical queries Predominantly office-based, with occasional travel for meetings, surveys, and project monitoring

Required Education, Skills & Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of the Automatic Door industry, including products, legislation, and standards (essential) Additional knowledge in related areas is highly desirable: Industrial Doors Speed Lanes Gates Barriers Bollards Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience (highly desirable) Proven ability to generate new business and convert quotations into projects (desirable) Relevant accreditations (e.g., ADSA, DHF) are advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong general IT literacy Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage customer relationships and sales pipeline Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in dealing with stakeholders at all levels Full & clean UK driving licence Must successfully pass full security vetting clearance (no criminal history)
