Overview:
Join our team at Auto Gearbox Specialists, a leading company with over 40 years of experience specializing in Automatic and Automated (DSG and AMT) Transmission/Gearbox re manufacturing for all makes and models. We cater to both trade and retail markets, providing top-notch services in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various types of transmission systems.
- Using the latest diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Removing components and or transmissions for re manufacturing, replacement either in house or externally.
- Disassembling transmissions or control systems in an orderly fashion.
- Component inspection to identify and rectify existing and possible future issues.
- Measuring internal components for wear.
- Electrically testing of solenoids, speed sensors and wiring.
- Apply mechanical and electrical principles to analyse technical data and solve transmission shifting problems.
- Develop and implement procedures to better the efficiency of daily tasks.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to understand and repair complex mechanical systems.
- Collaborate clutch and internal bearing preloads and clearances
- Report any non-transmission issues to be relayed back to the customer.
- Carry out all works to exacting standards as set out by the company.
Skills: (desirable but training will be given).
- Carry out works in a professional but timely manner.
- Good mathematical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand complex mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of engineering principles for project collaboration.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to understand the complexity of transmissions and operations.
- Reliable addition to the team.
- UK driving licence.

This is a 40 hour per week position Monday to Friday (No Weekends).

Pay: 25,871.53-35,966.75 per year
