Due to increased demand for major factory automation projects, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation/Controls Engineer. As part of a small and collaborative engineering team, the successful candidate will be involved in the entire project life cycle--from initial requirements gathering and concept development, through detailed design, implementation, testing, and commissioning, to final handover, documentation, and ongoing customer support.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Design, programming, and debugging of
PLC-based control systems
.
Programming and commissioning of
electric drives and servo motor systems
.
Design and implementation of
HMI/SCADA systems
for operator interface and system monitoring.
Electrical control panel
design, layout and documentation.
Specification and configuration of
distributed I/O systems
.
Integration of
safety-related control components
in accordance with current standards.
Support of system commissioning and customer handover on-site when required.
Qualifications and Experience
A
third-level qualification
(degree or equivalent) in
Electrical, Electronic, Automation, or Mechatronic Engineering
.
Proven, hands-on experience with at least one major
PLC programming environment
, such as
Siemens TIA Portal
,
Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000
, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of
control panel design
, including layout, wiring, and documentation to industry standards.
Familiarity with current
industrial safety practices
and relevant standards
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise directly with customers and vendors
Desirable Skills and Experience
Practical experience with
industrial communication protocols
, such as
Profinet
,
EtherCAT
, or
Ethernet/IP
.
Exposure to
robotics
,
machine vision systems
, or other advanced automation technologies.
Proficiency in
general-purpose programming languages
(e.g.
Python
,
C++
) for tasks such as scripting, data processing, or integration with third-party systems.
Familiarity with
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
or similar production management platforms.
Willingness to travel as required for
on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support
.

Pay: 34,402.00-48,000.00 per year
