Location: Newbury/Birmingham (Hybrid*)
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

What you\'ll do

You\'ll be a key member of the Network Automation Team that develops services and maintains the automation in line with Vodafone \'s objectives. You will be contributing to the Automation in Network and Service Operations Centres to improve efficiencies resolving faults and provide an exceptional customer experience.

  • Accountability of this role includes implementing Automation in fixed line, mobile and transmission networks.
  • Developing APIs, servers and databases.
  • Contributing to Digital Initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Enhancing Service & Network Monitoring capabilities by developing solutions for all functions by automation or programming to enhance Operational Effectiveness.
  • Where required support the transition of new technologies, services and solutions into Operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities for automation development and deployment.
  • Contributing ideas and experience to new development solutions
  • Meticulous when deploying code, performing infrastructure changes or mass configuration deployments.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancements and resolving issues with minimal supervision.
Who you are
  • Be able to build, configure, administer & implement infrastructure technologies for Kubernetes & Docker containers enabling a full stack automation environment.
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python & PHP
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Team player willing to share and mentor others
