We are on the lookout for an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team based at our site in Crick. You'll carry out preventative and corrective maintenance of site automation technology, ensuring alignment with contract KPIs and customer requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent position working on a '4 on 4 off' basis, covering the hours of 07:00 till 19:00. However, flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative and correct maintenance
• Ensure all spare equipment is effectively maintained with any required repair works recorded in accordance with asset management processes
• Root case analysis of automation breakdowns and provide timely repair solutions / corrective actions to ensure minimal disruption to the operation
• Ensure all engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 - or equivalent)
• 18th edition wiring certification required
• Previous experience within a similar environment, working with warehouse automation solutions including Automated Guided Vehicles, conveyors & sorters
• Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving environment
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
