Main Responsibility

Managing the full automation network across the Dufftown site, including PLCs, servers, switches, and software systems Performing diagnostic checks and troubleshooting across SCADA, IO, MCC panels, and more Leading upgrades, bug fixes, and integration of new equipment into existing installations Ensuring all software and hardware meet company standards and compliance requirements. Planning and executing PLC and Automation CSD checks, backups, and system validations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and maintain robust control systems. Developing and maintaining coding standards, change control processes, and remote access protocols. Building a trusted network of approved system integrators and assessing their competencies Driving continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to strategic automation projects Championing best practices and compliance with William Grant & Sons' processes and standards

Our Ideal Candidate

Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation hardware/software Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. Familiarity with coding standards, software change management, and system architecture Excellent communication and teamwork skills A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and development
