Do you enjoy the challenge of taking a design concept and turning it into something functional, manufacturable, and ready to test? We're looking for an
Automotive Design & Development Engineer
to join our team at GTO Engineering -- a role at the heart of our vehicle development activities.
This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary position that blends CAD design, mechanical engineering, and prototyping. You'll be responsible for developing body structures, mounting concepts, and assemblies -- working closely with other engineers to transform ideas into robust CAD models, test prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
The majority of the work will be carried out
onsite at our Berkshire HQ
, with some flexibility to work from home when required.
If you want variety, ownership, and the satisfaction of seeing designs move from screen to workshop reality, this could be the role for you.
About us
We are GTO Engineering - world renowned as the leading independent, classic Ferrari specialist. With a history dating back to the 1980s, we're trusted by many of the world's leading Ferrari collectors, racers, dealers and workshops to look after their cars. Over the years we've restored, serviced, raced, toured or supported many of the most significant Ferraris ever made, including the majority of the legendry 250 GTOs - the world's most valuable car.
What are we like? We're down to earth, we're human, we're passionate about cars, we have fun and we look after our clients well. We're family owned and try to foster a supportive, familial culture too, mixing Italian passion with British reliability! Oh, and we have a workshop full of some of the world's coolest cars. And when we don't have them to look at, we're travelling to see clients in some of the world's best locations: Florence, Palm Beach, Monaco, Monterey, Abu Dhabi or Tokyo, to name a few. Our clients range from the UHNW global elite with extensive car collections, to guys who save up to fix their affordable Ferrari at home on the weekend. Whoever they are, we care about them just as much - just as they all value our expertise, quality of work, discretion and top-class service.
From our expansive home in rural Berkshire, UK, our lovely team of 40 continue our work restoring, servicing, racing, touring and supplying parts for the world's rarest, most fun, most beautiful and most valuable cars: Enzo-era Ferraris. Is it all a bed of roses? Definitely not. Like all companies, we have challenges and there's hard work to do. But it's rewarding, we have a laugh, our team care, clients like us and we're building something really special.
