We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and hands-on

Automotive Machine Shop Supervisor

to lead our technical team and ensure the continuation of our world-class engineering standards.

The Challenge: Precision & Leadership

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will directly contribute to production while managing all shop operations.

Shop Leadership:

Oversee daily workflow, resource allocation, and scheduling to maximise throughput. Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of machinists, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety.

Core Machining (Hands-On):

Execute critical precision services to exact tolerances, including: Cylinder Boring, Honing, and Liner Fitting. Crankshaft Grinding. Cylinder Head Refacing and Pressure Testing.

Quality Control:

Maintain the highest quality standards, troubleshoot complex engineering issues, and liaise across departments (Management, Purchasing) to ensure project success.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 4+ years

experience in mechanical engineering or an automotive machining environment.

Proven Leadership:

At least

1 year of management or supervisory experience

is essential. Expert knowledge of engineering principles, complex tolerances, and the precise use of measuring tools. A dedicated passion for the automotive industry (classic or performance-focused experience is highly advantageous).
