Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in the role of Garage. This position involves maintaining and managing garage operations, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for automotive care.

Duties

Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake checks. Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements. Maintain accurate records of services performed and inventory levels. Ensure the garage area is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations. Assist customers with inquiries regarding services offered and provide exceptional customer service. Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience in automotive maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ in vehicle maintenance would be advantageous. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a garage environment is desirable.
