AV Event Technician

27,000 - 30,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Hours:

Monday - Friday -

08:00-18:00 with out of hours working evenings and occasional weekends (Overtime often available)

Exciting new opportunity has arisen on a famous and iconic client site in central London, working as an AV Technician.

Key responsibilities:

Events & Broadcasts:

Liaison with management and clients regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events. Operation of audio-visual equipment as allocated by the AV or Venue Management during events with the aim to provide high quality technical standards Positioning, installation and operation of equipment within event areas Perform all necessary pre-event checks as required for the event Support of video / audio conferences / Webcasts in support of live events Cooperate with specialised production and facilities companies in the provision of events and broadcasts Set up & support of Call Centre Network for Telethons, Emergency Appeals and Press Announcements Setup and support of AV equipment to the client in meeting rooms Assist with IT and network requirements for events as dictated by the customer Assist with support for video / audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly Proactive maintenance / reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly Testing and connection of communications and networking to equipment via patching of floor boxes and Comms room terminals Deputise for the AV Manager in the event of absence Supervise additional/ cover technicians and external Production companies/agencies

Skills and experience:

Essential

Team Player with a positive & flexible attitude to the workplace Operating digital and analogue sound desks capability - Allen & Heath, Soundcraft LED Videowall, Video Projection & switcher Operation ability Good knowledge across a broad range of devices & applications Mac, Microsoft Office etc Experience operating remote controlled or stand-alone video cameras - Sony Complete understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations

Desirable

Experience within a Live music or Theatre based role Basic Lighting skills Operating vision mixers - Panasonic, Black magic Networking, IP & Wi-Fi
