Summary of Position:
AV/IT BIM Technician to work as part of a team in providing professional AV/IT BIM services drawings to external and internal clients.
Within this role you will be responsible for creating full dimensioned AV/IT drawings to customer specifications, producing documents to comply with industry standards.
You will assist with the production of schematic diagrams working in conjunction with the AV Architect.
Create and manage accurate 3D BIM models using Revit and other design software.
Support project teams with coordinated digital models and technical drawings.
Ensure models meet company and industry BIM standards
Assist with clash detection, model reviews, and project coordination tasks.
Maintain digital asset libraries, templates, and documentation workflows.
Produce 2D/3D visuals, plans, and technical details for presentations and submissions.
Working away: Some projects will require on site support from a design role, this could be site surveying to support technical drawings.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and manage accurate 3D BIM models of AV systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
Coordinate AV systems with architectural, structural, MEP, and IT models.
Produce detailed AV floor plans, risers, rack elevations, device layouts, cable routing & AV schematic's.
Work closely with other AV system designers and engineers to reflect design intent in models.

Essential
UK Driving licence
Competency in using 2D AutoCAD software package preferred
Competency in using 2D/3D software drawing package (BIM) Revit.
Maths, English, and a Science related GCSE at grade A-C

Ability to convert verbal and written information into two dimensional drawings.
Experience in using computer applications such as Microsoft products, ie; Word, Excel, Outlook
Working in 3D & 2D CAD packages.
Desirable
Experience of computer networks and streaming technologies.
Experience of commercial audio visual systems including large scale presentation systems (lecture theatres), video conference systems, digital signage systems.
Audio Visual and I.T. Systems integration including signal switching, processing and distribution with control via AMX / Crestron systems.

Must be able to work un-supervised, under pressure and to deliver projects in with the given timeline.
Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals

Able to work extended hours as required.
Able to use access equipment and physically install hardware into clients sites without assistance.
