Job Description

Supporting the Finance & Control team by ensuring accurate general ledger integrity, timely stakeholder reporting, and contributing to projects that enhance the overall financial reporting environment.

  • Strengthen governance and controls by partnering with auditors, regulators and senior stakeholders.
  • Improve cross?location collaboration and communication across global teams.
  • Deliver monthly expense, headcount and fixed?asset reporting with clear insights for management.
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with multiple departments to provide accurate financial accounting support.
  • Maintain and enhance policies, procedures and financial?statement controls.
  • Balance BAU deadlines with ad?hoc stakeholder needs while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Coach and support junior team members to build capability.
  • Perform GL reconciliations, self?attestation and monthly journal postings.
  • Maintain the fixed?asset register and prepare relevant disclosures.
  • Produce clear, insightful monthly reporting and commentary for management.
  • Embed robust controls to strengthen the overall control environment.
QualifiedAccountant opportunity in Financial Services.Join the Financial Control division of an international Bank
The ideal candidate will be / have:
  • Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' finance experience
  • Ideally financial/management reporting exposure in the Banking sector (broader Financial Services will be considered)
  • Strong technical skills across month?end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
  • Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, large datasets); Power BI/Power Query a plus.
  • Confident working with general ledger systems, reporting tools and system changes.
  • Proven analytical ability with a track record of identifying issues and delivering solutions.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder?management skills.
  • Experience working with auditors and supporting statutory or regulatory reporting.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline?driven environment.
  • Collaborative, adaptable team player with a continuous?improvement mindset.
  • Prior involvement in process improvements, controls enhancement or automation initiatives is desirable.
